About the Instructor
Tessa Tallakson is a classical oil painter who trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tessa has won numerous awards for painting, including a Full Tuition Donald R. Caldwell Scholarship, the J. Henry Schiedt Memorial Travel Scholarship Award, and a Hudson River Fellowship. Tessa has exhibited in Columbus, Montgomery, Auburn, Philadelphia and New York City.
Her work focuses primarily on still life and landscape subjects as well as portraiture. Tessa is greatly influenced by classical paintings of the Spanish and Dutch Masters. Currently, Tessa lives and works in rural Notasulga, Alabama with her husband and Brittany Spaniel.
